About us

We are Sílvia and António and we live in the village of Ervedosa do Douro. We are tourist guides who also work on the terraces of Douro in the harvest of grapes, olives and almonds.

We are committed to the Douro landscape and to the culture of Douro Valley. We intend to share that with you in our walks.

About us

Walks

The walking paths are a way of accessing the fields. Apart from that, they are a window to the cycles of nature, the work and the days in the Douro. Thoreau says: «The fastest traveller is the one that walks.»  And we believe in that.

Walking and hiking tours

Our walks and hikes mirror our experience in the Douro region. We will walk on the meandering paths and roads that circle around the village of Ervedosa. And our suggestions can be adapted to meet our visitors´ needs.

Ervedosa do Douro Vineyards

This walk goes around several emblematic quintas of the region – Gricha, Roriz, São José, Tecedeiras and Pessegueiro. It is a journey that celebrates and shows the life that surrounds the vineyards. The simple, yet self-assured and stunning views, will amaze you.

Reviews

One of our most authentic and precious experiences in Portugal

Antonio took us to stroll through the impressive and beautiful vineyards of the Douro valley that surround his village. We spent the day with him learning in intricate detail what it takes to manage both the vines and the olives. He answered all the questions we had about Portugal – and even discussed some philosophy. We went down the hill to an old stone house nestled in its ancestral vines, where he served us a traditional lunch, made by his family. At the end of the day, we were fast friends and marvel at the beauty and challenges of the area.

Great day and a really good experience.

Hiking ‘ lovers shouldn’t hesitate to do it and must take into account a big added value, the guide is unique. Thanks Antonio for sharing with us a so great day. Regards
