About us

We are Sílvia and António and we live in the village of Ervedosa do Douro. We are tourist guides who also work on the terraces of Douro in the harvest of grapes, olives and almonds.

We are committed to the Douro landscape and to the culture of Douro Valley. We intend to share that with you in our walks.

About us

Walks

The walking paths are a way of accessing the fields. Apart from that, they are a window to the cycles of nature, the work and the days in the Douro. Thoreau says: «The fastest traveller is the one that walks.»  And we believe in that.

Reviews

One of our most authentic and precious experiences in Portugal

Antonio took us to stroll through the impressive and beautiful vineyards of the Douro valley that surround his village. We spent the day with him learning in intricate detail what it takes to manage both the vines and the olives. He answered all the questions we had about Portugal – and even discussed some philosophy. We went down the hill to an old stone house nestled in its ancestral vines, where he served us a traditional lunch, made by his family. At the end of the day, we were fast friends and marvel at the beauty and challenges of the area.

What a difference a day makes.

It was fun, informative, good excercise, beautifull views, good conversation, caring tour guide. Antonio thought of everything. The brunch was lovely, especially the cured meat, cheeses, good wine, home grown cherries, figs and nuts and the best home made cherry preserve. Antonio had good knowledge of the valley, politics, wine and viticulture. I could walk the Camino with him.
